Olumakaiye tasks Nigerians on godliness | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News

Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos and Missioner, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Humphrey Olumakaiye, has called on Nigerians to live godly lives and make life worth living for people around them. Ministering at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Lagos, yesterday, Olumakaiye also called on the leadership to return to the path of honesty, dignity of labour as well as selfless service, ensuring that they continue to meet the needs of the masses, making life worth living for every Nigerian. While expressing optimism that Leah Sharibu, the abducted Christian girl, would continue to be under divine protection of God who would bring her out very soon, he called on every Nigerian to intensify efforts towards getting her released. The pope was speaking yesterday as the Catholic world marked the World Day of Peace and commemoration of Mary Mother of God. “We should be concerned that a citizen of this nation was abducted and when others were released, she was refused freedom simply because she professed Christian faith.
